From Australia to Zambales: Introducing Brighton Cabins

Something bright and colourful is coming to Ugalde’s Coastal Cabins in San Felipe, Zambales.

We are excited to announce a soon-to-be-built addition inspired by the famous colourful bathing boxes of Brighton Beach in Victoria, Australia.

A Little Piece of Australia in Zambales

The Brighton Bathing Boxes are known for their simple seaside shape, cheerful colours and unique personality. Although the boxes follow a similar design, each one stands out through its own combination of colours and patterns.

We loved the idea of bringing that same playful coastal character to San Felipe.

Instead of recreating the bathing boxes exactly, Brighton Cabins will take inspiration from their most memorable features: bold colours, compact proportions, charming rooflines and a relaxed seaside atmosphere.

The result will be something that feels familiar yet different—a blend of Australian bayside character and laid-back Zambales beach living.

Bright, Bold and Full of Personality

Brighton Cabins will feature two colourful studio cabins designed to look cheerful without making the space feel too busy or dark.

Each cabin will have its own carefully selected colour combination, complemented by a bold red roof. The cabins will be short and wide, giving them a cosy cottage-like appearance while still providing a comfortable interior for guests.

Covered front porches will create a shaded area where guests can sit, eat, enjoy their morning coffee or simply relax after spending time at the beach.

The sandy surroundings, bamboo furniture and tropical setting will keep the project connected to the simple and natural character of San Felipe.

Designed for Real Beach Getaways

Brighton Cabins will not be about unnecessary luxury or overly complicated interiors.

The goal is to create a stay that is:

• Colourful and memorable

• Easy to maintain

• Suitable for couples, families and small groups

• Relaxed enough for sandy feet and casual beach days

Every space will be planned carefully to make the most of the compact cabin size. Guests can expect practical sleeping areas, private facilities and the essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay.
